Elias, a film-poem by Seán Street commissioned by Salisbury Cathedral as part of its Magna Carta celebrations, is available on the Cathedral's website. The film, directed by Trevor Hearing and produced by Stephanie Farmer for Red Balloon Productions, celebrates Elias de Dereham, a remarkable 13th century cleric, poet and church builder, who was present at the sealing of Magna Carta in 1215, and brought a copy to Old Sarum. He was responsible for supervising the building of the new Cathedral, and became a Canon in the church. The Salisbury Magna Carta is part of a continuing exhibition in the Cathedral.
