The National Glass Centre, University of Sunderland Friday 9th April 2010 10.30-16.45. As part of this year's Charles Parker Day event, Sean Street delivers his latest paper, "Sympathetic Voices - the correspondence of George Ewart Evans and Charles Parker." The two men carried out a friendly and often frank correspondence during Parker's turbullent last months with the BBC. Sean examines this material, and plays examples of Evans' radio and oral history work. Other speaker at the Day include Piers Plowright, Matt Thompson and Alan Hall.
