Sean Street is involved with two stories of islands within 5 days on BBC Radio. On Sunday 8 August at 16.30 (UK time) on Radio 4 he takes part in a feature about WW Gibson's ghostly poem, "Flannan Isle". The programme is repeated on Saturday 14 August. Meanwhile, over on BBC Radio 3, the network repeats Sean's feature, "At Cupid's Cove" to mark the 400th anniversary of the first permanent English settlement in Canada, Cupids Cove, Newfoundland. The feature is broadcast after that evening's Prom concert, at 22.15 (UK time). The exact 400th anniversary of John Guy's landfall in Newfoundand is the following week, on 17 August.
